Session 19

PCs (lvl 5): Tuarninn, Udo, Ulrich

MR 673 - Haelynir

After the death of Iron Fist Greta, violence in Dunkelfeucht is on the rise. There is unrest among the gangs of the docks, and it seems the Baron is not able to keep the peace.

Udo checks on Little Willy and on Big Willy. While he's at the Docker's Arms, a small gang of Lowhavens throws alchemist's fire inside the guildhouse, as a reminder that father and son are still owing the criminal gang. Udo helps to quench the fire and reassures the guildmaster that the party will handle the situation.

Jorn invites the PCs to the Kat House, to celebrate their victory at the Tin Spur, and to plan for the next step. But it is just a trap. Jorn poisons the PCs, and then assaults them. Together with his dogs, he subdues the PCs and captures them. They awaken in a flooded cellar in Dunkelfeucht, heavily wounded but alive. They manage to get out of their restrains and to escape the Docks, but the word is out that every criminal and thug under the bridge is looking for them.

While Udo and Tuarninn go back to the barracks, Ulrich picks up Nixie, and together they go to find a safe haven with Ulrich's Family. Ulrich has a talk with his father, before crashing due to his wounds.

After some rest, the PCs meet to plan their next move. Tuarninn begins a nightly guerrilla against the Baron's thugs, to instill terror into them; Ulrich tries to gather support and spread rumors about the Baron's lack of leadership; Udo looks for clues about any other possible allies against the Baron. To this end, he checks on his contacts allied with Graf Sigismund, and receives information about some sort of 'cat icon" the Graf is interested into. He also gets a few loyalists hired into the city Watch.

All their efforts culminate in a rousing speech delivered by Tuarninn to galvanize his fellow Watchmen. The elf succeed to awaken whatever is left of their courage and sense of duty, and a unified force of Watchmen begins to march upon Dunkelfeucht.
